About Us
Finding the help you and your family need after a traumatic event can be a challenge. Fleeing your home, becoming a refugee, and starting over in a new country are struggles no one expects to go through. The trauma of war not only alters the course of your life but alters your mindset as well, leaving you to cope with a loss of identity and feeling afraid of the unknown. Missing your friends and family can make you feel isolated and even finding someone who speaks your language can be difficult. If you were in your own country, you’d know who to turn to, but even small tasks in a foreign place can seem daunting. Simple everyday life is a struggle at times when your life has been disrupted and the familiar has been taken away, especially for children who rely on routine and look to you for strength. While children are resilient, they are also impressionable, and you worry about the stress on their minds as well as your own.  Mendy Minds Foundation was born to positively mend the minds of those in need and provide community support and engagement to the refugees.
